Your trading bot will open orders based on trading signals at the current rate when the signal is given. When you have "Market order" enabled in the signal config of your trading bot, the trading bot will place an order for the current lowest ask instead of the rate of the signal.

Which current rate is used when using limit orders, that depends on your 'use ticker' settings in the Base config.
