Managing your crypto portfolio efficiently is important for maximizing your investment potential. If you're encountering issues with your Portfolio Bot, this guide will help you troubleshoot common problems and ensure everything is set up correctly.
Do you have a trading bot subscription?
To use a Portfolio Bot, you need a trading bot subscription. With a trading bot subscription, you can create as many Portfolio Bots as you like. An Explorer subscription is sufficient. Check out all our trading bot subscriptions here.
Is the Portfolio Bot enabled?
If the Portfolio Bot is turned off on the Portfolio Bot Dashboard, no trades will be executed based on the Rebalance settings in your Portfolio Bot. Go to your Portfolio Bot Dashboard and turn on the Portfolio Bot.
Is your Portfolio Bot connected to your crypto exchange?
Do you see the funds from your crypto exchange, such as Binance or Coinbase, displayed in the top right corner of the Portfolio Bot Dashboard? There are several reasons why your funds might not be visible in Cryptohopper. The most common reason is incorrect API Key settings. Refer to this article to learn how to connect to your crypto exchange using API Keys or Fast Connect.
Another reason could be that you are using sub-accounts that cannot be connected via Fast Connect. In this case, use API Keys. Also, ensure that the funds are in the trading account of your crypto exchange, as this issue is common with exchanges like KuCoin.
Do you have sufficient funds of your quote currency?
If you've selected 50 cryptocurrencies but only have $10 on your crypto exchange balance in your quote currency, the Portfolio Bot will struggle to execute trades. Always check the minimum trade amounts of your crypto exchange here and decide how to diversify your cryptocurrency investments. Read more about the essential tips to configure your cryptocurrency Portfolio Bot.
Do you see other errors in your Portfolio Bot Output?
Go to your Dashboard and scroll down to the Portfolio Bot Output. Here, you will see why the Portfolio Bot is or isn't executing trades based on your configuration settings.
Did you already check the Troubleshooter?
The Troubleshooter can help you quickly identify issues with your Portfolio Bot. Note that the exclamation mark (!) for the IP whitelisting is always shown as we can't verify which IP addresses you've configured on your crypto exchange.
