Problems can arise when you misuse the "Reserve Positions" feature on Cryptohopper. When using "Reserve Positions," it is crucial that you do not manipulate these positions on the crypto exchange itself. Here are a few examples:
It frequently happens that users reserve positions on Cryptohopper and then withdraw the cryptocurrencies from the crypto exchange to stake them in their private wallets while still wanting them to be tracked. In this case, the position is no longer on the crypto exchange, which can confuse the trading bot.
Additionally, users sometimes reserve positions on Cryptohopper and then manually sell the position on the crypto exchange. Since Cryptohopper is not updated that the position has been sold, it appears as though you have more of a cryptocurrency on Cryptohopper than is actually available on the crypto exchange.
In both examples, the trading bot can become confused. If this happens with your trading bot, we recommend removing the positions via "Info > Actions > Remove" and then manually resynchronizing the positions at the current rate or the buy rate shown in the crypto exchange's trade history.
