Steps

  1. Go to the Crypto.com exchange website and log in or create an account.

  2. Click your profile in the upper right corner, select Manage Account, then click API Management.

  3. Click Create a new API key and enter a memorable name, such as "Cryptohopper API key." Enter your 2FA code.

  4. Click Copy API secret and paste it into the API Secret field in Cryptohopper.

  5. Click Edit on your newly created API key. Enable Enable trading and whitelist the IP addresses shown in your Cryptohopper account. You can find these IP addresses in your Base config under the Exchange section. Copy and paste them under IP Whitelist on Crypto.com.

  6. Copy the API key and paste it into Cryptohopper. Click Continue on Crypto.com, enter your 2FA and security details, then click Continue in Cryptohopper to finish setting up your trading bot.

Your Crypto.com exchange is now connected. The bot will start running on your next trading cycle.

Unable to see your Crypto.com exchange balance?

If your trading bot does not show your Crypto.com balance, browser auto-fill may be interfering with the API connection. Try disabling auto-fill, using incognito mode, switching to a different browser, or disabling your password manager. See our troubleshooting article for more details.

You may also see an error during onboarding even when your API keys are correct. Common causes include having no funds in your Crypto.com exchange account, having funds in your funding account instead of your trading account, or not having completed KYC verification. If this happens, click Continue without testing. You can verify your API keys later in your Base config.

Troubleshooting API key errors

If your API keys stop working or you need to reset them:

  1. Log in to your Crypto.com account. Use incognito mode to prevent browser auto-fill from interfering.

  2. Regenerate new API keys on Crypto.com.

  3. Enter the new keys in Cryptohopper's Exchange settings in your Base config.
