Why do I see 'Formatted output is too low' on Binance?

Error 'Formatted output is too low' on Binance means your order size is too small. Use 'Convert dust to BNB'.

What this error means

When your bot tries to place a buy or sell order on Binance, but the amount is too small for Binance to process, you will see the error "Formatted output is too low."

Why this happens

This usually happens when you have a small leftover position (dust) in your portfolio — an amount too small to sell at market value.

What you can do

  1. Use Binance's Convert dust to BNB feature. Log in to your Binance account and convert small leftover balances into BNB.

  2. Merge the position with another position of the same cryptocurrency to bring it above the minimum order size.

  3. Use Walletscrubber to automatically clean up dust positions in your portfolio.

Verify it's fixed

After cleaning up the dust position, check your bot's log. If the error no longer appears, the issue is resolved.
