Deposit did not arrive

Did you make a deposit to Cryptohopper Exchange but haven’t seen it in your account yet? Don’t worry. If you entered the address correctly, your funds are on their way and will be processed soon.

There are a few reasons why your crypto deposit might be delayed. Here are the common issues and how to fix them:

1. Deposit missing because no TXID was generated

If you can’t find the Transaction ID (TXID) for your deposit on the blockchain, the transfer might not have gone through. In this case, contact the platform you withdrew from to check the status of your transaction.

2. Deposit delayed due to not enough confirmations

Blockchain transactions need to be confirmed by network nodes to be completed. The number of confirmations needed depends on the cryptocurrency and its network.

Check how many confirmations are required on the Cryptohopper Exchange deposit page. In the example below, 30 confirmations are required. Please wait until the necessary confirmations are reached.

3. Sufficient confirmations but funds haven’t arrived

Even after your deposit has enough confirmations on the blockchain, it might take some time for Cryptohopper Exchange to process it. This can take up to 2-3 hours.

To check the number of confirmations for your deposit, use the following blockchain explorers:

4. Deposit to an old deposit address

Cryptohopper Exchange may update deposit addresses for some coins from time to time. If you deposit to an old Cryptohopper Exchange deposit address, your deposit might be delayed by 12 hours. Always make sure to use the latest deposit address provided by Cryptohopper Exchange.

5. Deposit service temporarily suspended

Cryptohopper Exchange might perform wallet maintenance for certain coins occasionally, which can delay transactions. Check the deposit page or Cryptohopper News to see the latest service status.

Deposited to an incorrect address

If you've accidentally sent a deposit to the wrong address, several scenarios might unfold:

1. Shared deposit addresses among multiple tokens

On Cryptohopper Exchange, tokens built on the same blockchain network will utilize identical deposit addresses. For instance, ERC20-based tokens such as KCS, AMPL, BNS, and ETH share the same deposit address, as do NEP5-based tokens like NEO and GAS. Our platform automatically recognizes the specific token being deposited, ensuring your funds remain secure.

However, it's crucial to generate and use the appropriate wallet address for the token by navigating to the respective token's deposit page before initiating a deposit. Failing to do so might result in your deposit not being credited. If you generate the correct wallet address after making the deposit, your funds will be credited within 1-2 hours once the address is set up.

2. Mismatch between deposit address and token address

If the deposit address you've used does not correspond to the correct wallet address for the specific token, Cryptohopper Exchange may be unable to assist in recovering your assets. Therefore, always double-check the deposit address and consider first sending a small amount to ensure it matches the intended token’s wallet address before proceeding with any transactions.
