To allow your trading bot to interact with ProBit, you will need to create an API Key. This key acts as a connection between Cryptohopper and the crypto exchange, and by using the API for ProBit, your trading bot can perform tasks such as placing automated orders and accessing your balance for its calculations. Essentially, the API Key serves as a way for your Cryptohopper trading bot to communicate with ProBit and execute the actions necessary for automated trading.
Our step-by-step ProBit API tutorial will help you set up and use the ProBit API to improve your trading experience with our powerful trading bot. Watch the tutorial video below or keep scrolling for step-by-step instructions.
Before getting started, it's important to know that you might encounter an error in Cryptohopper's onboarding process when connecting to ProBit, even if your API Keys are correct. The most common reasons include:
Having no funds in your crypto exchange account
Having no funds in your trading account (as some crypto exchanges differentiate between funding and trading accounts)
Not being a verified exchange user (KYC)
In this case, please click on 'Continue without testing'. You can always check your API Keys later in your Base config.

Follow these steps to easily connect your ProBit account to Cryptohopper:
To get started, head over to the ProBit exchange website. If you already have an account, simply log in; otherwise, create a new one.
Once logged in, navigate to 'My page' located in the upper right-hand corner, then select "API Management."
Name your API Key under 'Label' and click on 'Create new key'. Confirm the new API Key by entering the OTP (One Time Password) and click on 'Submit'.
Your API Key (Client ID) and API Secret (Client Secret) are now available, but they're not ready for trading yet. Click on 'Edit', enable 'IP address restriction', and whitelist the IP addresses displayed in Cryptohopper one by one.
Enter your API Key and API Secret on Cryptohopper. Click on "Edit complete" in ProBit and then "Save" in Cryptohopper. Your crypto exchange connection is now established, and you're all set to start trading.
