Why do I see 'The requested symbol is not whitelisted on Bybit'?

This error means your Bybit account needs to be a Unified Trading Account (UTA) before Cryptohopper can trade on it.

What this error means

This error appears when your Bybit account isn't set up as a Unified Trading Account (UTA). Cryptohopper can't trade on Bybit without one. If you're already on a UTA, the issue may be with your sub-account's currency permissions.

What to do

  1. Switch to a Unified Trading Account — Log in to your Bybit account and go to your settings. Look for the option to switch to a Unified Trading Account (UTA) and follow the prompts to complete the switch.

  2. Check your sub-account permissions — If you've already switched to UTA, make sure the currencies you want to trade are enabled for the sub-account you're using.

If you're still seeing the error after trying these steps, contact Bybit's customer support for help.
