When trading with Cryptohopper, your funds must be positioned correctly on your chosen crypto exchange. The specific location varies by trading platform, and incorrect placement can cause trading errors or prevent your bot from accessing funds.

Exchange Fund Requirements

  • Binance: Place funds in your Spot account. For sub-accounts, enable trading permissions for all coins rather than whitelisting specific ones to prevent errors. Staked coins cannot be traded.

  • Binance US: Place funds in your Spot account. Staked coins cannot be traded.

  • BingX: Place funds in your Spot account. For sub-accounts, enable trading permissions for all coins rather than whitelisting specific ones to prevent errors. Staked coins cannot be traded.

  • Bitfinex: Place funds in your Exchange wallet or trading-enabled sub-account. Staked coins cannot be traded.

  • BitMart: Place funds in your Spot wallet or sub-account that allows trading all coins to prevent errors. Staked coins cannot be traded.

  • Bitvavo: Funds are automatically positioned correctly. Some staked coins can be traded while others cannot, verify before staking.

  • Bybit: Place funds in your Spot account. For sub-accounts, enable trading permissions for all coins rather than whitelisting specific ones to prevent errors. Staked coins cannot be traded. Note: Copy Trading Accounts are incompatible with Cryptohopper.

  • Coinbase: Place funds in your Default account. For Portfolios (sub-accounts), ensure you allow trading all coins to prevent errors. Staked coins cannot be traded.

  • Crypto.com: Place funds in your Master Account or sub-account. This exchange supports multiple trading types (margin, futures) from one account, which can cause insufficient balance issues when using different trading types beyond Spot. Soft staking funds can be traded, but locked staking funds cannot. Ensure sub-accounts allow trading all coins.

  • HitBTC: Place funds in your Spot account or sub-account. Always ensure you allow trading all coins.

  • HTX: Place funds in your Spot account or sub-account. Always ensure you allow trading all coins.

  • Kraken: Place funds in your Spot wallet. For sub-accounts, ensure you allow trading all coins. Some coins can be staked and traded (when Auto-Earn is enabled) while others cannot (locked staking).

  • KuCoin: Place funds in your Spot account. For sub-accounts, enable trading permissions for all coins rather than whitelisting specific ones to prevent errors. Staked coins cannot be traded.

  • OKX: Place funds in your Spot account. For sub-accounts, enable trading permissions for all coins rather than whitelisting specific ones to prevent errors. Staked coins cannot be traded.

  • Poloniex: Place funds in your Spot account or sub-account. Always ensure you allow trading all coins.

  • ProBit Global: Place funds in your Spot wallet or sub-account. Always ensure you allow trading all coins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can't see your funds after setup?

Contact Cryptohopper Support immediately. Our team will guide you through proper exchange connection via Fast Connect (recommended) or API Keys.

Why use sub-accounts?

Sub-accounts prevent bot interference by segregating funds. For example, allocate 50% to active trading bots and 50% to Portfolio Bot rebalancing without balance conflicts between different strategies.

Do all exchanges support sub-accounts?

No, sub-account availability varies by exchange. Check your platform's account options.

Are there free trading options?

Yes! Crypto.com users can access trading bots (Explorer subscription features, excluding backtesting) and Portfolio Bots for free, with waived $9 Cryptohopper fees on Copy Bots (marketplace seller prices still apply).
