Why do I see the message "No active API key found. Please ensure that you have confirmed the API key by e-mail" from Bitvavo?

This error means your Bitvavo API key hasn't been confirmed by email yet. Click the confirmation link in the email from Bitvavo to activate the key.

This error means your Bitvavo API key is not active yet. When you create an API key on Bitvavo, you receive a confirmation email. Until you click the confirmation link in that email, the API key won't work and Cryptohopper can't connect to your Bitvavo account.

Solution

  1. Check your email inbox for a confirmation email from Bitvavo.

  2. If you can't find it, check your spam or junk folder.

  3. Click the confirmation link in the email.

  4. Go back to Cryptohopper and reconnect your Bitvavo exchange.

Verify the fix

After confirming and reconnecting, check your bot's output log to confirm the error no longer appears.
