Why do I get "Master account 2FA not enabled" error on Crypto.com?

This error means 2FA is not enabled on Crypto.com Exchange. Enable 2FA on the Exchange to fix the Fast Connect issue.

This error means Cryptohopper can't connect to Crypto.com using Fast Connect because Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is not enabled on your Crypto.com Exchange account.

Cause

Crypto.com has two separate platforms: the Crypto.com App and the Crypto.com Exchange. Each platform has its own 2FA setting. This error appears when 2FA is enabled on the Crypto.com App but not on the Crypto.com Exchange. Fast Connect requires 2FA to be enabled on the Exchange.

Solution

  1. Go to the Crypto.com Exchange security settings page: https://crypto.com/exchange/user/settings/security/account

  2. Navigate to the Security section.

  3. Find the 2-Factor Authentication option.

  4. Toggle the switch to enable 2FA.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Verify the fix

After enabling 2FA on the Exchange, go back to Cryptohopper and try connecting to Crypto.com using Fast Connect again. The error should no longer appear.

Still seeing the error?

If the error persists after following these steps, contact Crypto.com support to verify that 2FA is enabled on both the Crypto.com App and the Crypto.com Exchange.
