Why do I see 'Invalid API key' in my trading bot output?

This error means the API key connected to your bot is no longer valid. Recreate your API keys using the How to connect guide for your exchange to fix it.

The error 'Invalid API key' in your trading bot output means that the API key configured in Cryptohopper is no longer valid and your bot can't connect to your exchange.

Cause

There are several reasons why an API key can become invalid — for example, the key may have been copied incorrectly, the key may be missing the required trading permissions, or your exchange requires an IP whitelist that does not include Cryptohopper's IP address. In all cases, the solution is the same: recreate your API keys.

Fix the error

Generate new API keys on your exchange and reconnect them to Cryptohopper. Follow the How to connect guide for your specific exchange — it walks you through creating the keys with the correct settings and entering them in Cryptohopper.
