This article explains how to connect your trading bot to Coinbase Advanced using Fast Connect. Fast Connect uses Coinbase's oAuth2 solution to create a secure connection between Cryptohopper and your Coinbase Advanced account, so your bot can place orders and access your balance automatically.
If you prefer to connect using API keys instead, see How to connect to Coinbase with API Keys.
Before you start
Make sure you have a Coinbase Advanced account. Cryptohopper does not support other Coinbase account types such as Coinbase Prime. If you are using Coinbase Prime, your bot will not be able to access your balance or execute trades.
Steps
Go to Configuration > Baseconfig > Exchange.
Select Coinbase Advanced as your exchange.
Click Connect to Coinbase. You will be redirected to Coinbase.
Enter your Coinbase login details in the pop-up provided by Coinbase. If you do not have a Coinbase account yet, you can create one here.
Complete 2FA (two-factor authentication) when prompted. If you are using an unfamiliar browser, Coinbase may also ask you to authorize the browser.
Wait for the connection to complete. Once finished, you will be redirected back to Cryptohopper.
Your Coinbase Advanced account is now connected. Your exchange balance will appear in Cryptohopper, and your bot is ready to start trading.
