A sub-account is a secondary account linked to your OKX account. Creating multiple sub-accounts can help diversify your trading strategies and mitigate risks by using multiple OKX trading bots on Cryptohopper.

How to Create a Sub-Account on OKX

  1. Log in to your OKX account: Open the OKX website and log in.

  2. Navigate to Sub-accounts: Go to your profile and select 'Sub-accounts'.

  3. Create a Sub-Account: Click on '+Create sub-account'.

  4. Fill in the Details: Enter the Login ID, Password, and select the Account Type:

    1. Standard sub-account: Allows trading settings and deposits.

    2. Managed trading sub-account: Only allows trading settings.

  5. Submit the Form: After confirming the information, click 'Submit'.

  6. Complete 2FA Verification: Enter and confirm your 2FA code to finish creating the sub-account.

  7. Connect your OKX sub-account to Cryptohopper: Connect your OKX sub-account to Cryptohopper by checking the tuturial How to connect to OKX with API Keys.

Note:

  • Sub-accounts will inherit the tier level of the main account at the time of creation and will update daily according to the main account.

  • General users (Lv1 - Lv5) can create up to 5 sub-accounts. Other users can view their tier permissions.

  • Sub-accounts can only be created on the web.

You can log in to your sub-accounts using the sub-account name and password on the OKX Web and App login pages. Alternatively, you can log in to your OKX main account and navigate to the Sub-accounts page to enable 'Switchable' for the sub-account, allowing you to switch accounts under your profile.
