Learn how to create a Standard Subaccount on Bybit in just a few simple steps. This guide will walk you through the process, ensuring you can start trading efficiently and securely.

Step 1: Log in to Your Bybit Main Account

  • Log in to your Bybit Main Account and navigate to the profile icon.

  • Click on "Subaccount."

Step 2: Create Subaccount

  • Click on "Create Subaccount."

Step 3: Choose Subaccount Type

  • Select the type of Subaccount you want to create.

    • For a Standard Subaccount:

      • You only need to enter a username without setting a password initially.

      • You can log in to this Subaccount via Account Switch from the Main Account. If you prefer to log in via the login page, you can set a password later.

    • For a Custom Subaccount:

      • You must create a password during the setup.

      • You can log in via the Login page.

      • To enable instant account switch from the Main Account, you must manually enable the account switch feature.

Step 4: Provide Details

  • Select the Subaccount type you wish to open.

  • Enter your preferred username and password, if necessary.

Important Notes:

  • Once created, you cannot change the Subaccount username.

  • Under the Unified Trading Account, all Spot and Derivatives (except Inverse Derivatives) trading are merged, and all assets can be used as collateral. With a Standard Account, trading activities are separate, and users must hold the supported assets for each product.

Step 5: Bybit subaccount created

  • You've successfully created a Standard Subaccount on Bybit!
