Why do I see the error "You do not have an active subscription" while I have an active subscription?

This error usually appears when your bot's configuration is out of sync with your subscription. Re-save your base config or assign your subscription to the correct bot to fix it.

This error can appear even when your subscription is active. It typically means your bot's configuration is not properly linked to your current subscription. In most cases, re-saving the base config resolves the issue.

Cryptohopper error message stating You do not have an active Hero subscription, prompting the user to subscribe to use AI or configure a different strategy

Example error message:

"You do not have an active (Hero) subscription. Please subscribe now for a (Hero) subscription to be able to use the AI in your bot or configure a different strategy in your config."

Cause 1 — Configuration out of sync

Sometimes your bot does not pick up your active subscription correctly. This can happen after renewing, upgrading, or switching between subscriptions.

To fix this:

  1. Go to Configuration > Base config.

  2. Make a small change to any setting (you can change it back afterward).

  3. Click Save.

  4. Check whether the error is gone.

  5. If you changed a setting just to trigger the save, revert it to the original value and save again.

Cause 2 — Subscription not assigned to the bot

If you have multiple bots, your subscription may be assigned to a different bot than the one showing the error. Each bot needs its own subscription assigned to it.

To check and assign your subscription, follow the steps in this guide.
