How to disable auto-fill in your browser?

Secure your API keys by disabling browser auto-fill on Cryptohopper. Follow our guide for Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Safari.

When using Cryptohopper, it might be a good idea to disable auto-fill in your browser for Cryptohopper. As you fill in your API key, chances are that auto-fill will record them, and try to automatically paste them in form-type fields later on. Which is not something you want to have happen.

If you create a new API on the exchange, and the old API is auto-filled, your trading bot will be stuck. Nobody likes down-time!

How to disable auto-fill in Chrome

  1. Click the Chrome menu icon. (Three dots at top right of screen.)

  2. Click on Settings.

  3. In the "Autofill" section, expand the area for which you wish to disable Autofill.

  4. Toggle the setting OFF if it is on. The system will automatically save your settings.

If you want to remove your auto-fill data for Chrome, Below is how you do it!

  1. Click the Chrome menu icon. (Three dots at top right of screen.)

  2. Click on History, then click on History again in the menu that appears.

  3. Select Clear browsing data.

  4. At the top, choose “the beginning of time” option to clear all saved data. (this will delete ALL data)

  5. Make sure that the “Clear saved Autofill form data” option is checked.

  6. Click Clear browsing data.

How to disable auto-fill in Firefox

  1. Click on the Firefox menu icon. (Three lines at top right of screen.)

  2. Click on Options.

  3. Choose "Privacy and Security."

  4. In the "Forms & Autofill" section uncheck "Autofill Addresses." The system will automatically save your settings.

If you want to remove your auto-fill data for Firefox, Below is how you do it!

  1. Click on the Firefox menu icon. (Three lines at top right of screen.)

  2. Click on "Privacy and Security."

  3. In the "History" section, click on the "Clear History" button.

  4. At the top, choose “the beginning of time” option to clear all saved data. (this will delete ALL data)

  5. in the "Time Range to Clear" dropdown menu, choose “Everything.”

  6. Make sure “Form & Search History” is checked.

  7. Click Clear Now.

How to disable auto-fill in Internet Explorer

  1. Click on the Tools menu icon. (Gear at top right of screen.)

  2. Click on Internet Options.

  3. Select the Content tab.

  4. In the AutoComplete section click on Settings.

  5. Uncheck Forms and User Names and Passwords on Forms.

  6. Click OK in the AutoComplete Settings Window.

  7. Click OK in the Internet Options Window.

If you want to remove your auto-fill data for Internet Explorer, Below is how you do it!

  1. Click on the Tools menu icon. (Gear at top right of screen.)

  2. Click on Internet Options.

  3. Select the Content tab.

  4. In the AutoComplete section click on Settings.

  5. At the bottom of the AutoComplete Settings window, click Delete AutoComplete History.

  6. Check Form Data and Passwords.

  7. Click Delete.

  8. Click OK in the AutoComplete Settings Window.

  9. Click OK in the Internet Options Window.

How to disable auto-fill in Safari

  1. Click on the Safari menu. (The word Safari at the top of the screen.)

  2. Click on Preferences.

  3. Choose AutoFill

  4. Uncheck “Using info from my Contacts Card/Address Book Card” and “Other Forms”

  5. Click Done.

If you want to remove your auto-fill data for Safari, Below is how you do it!

  1. Click on the Safari menu. (The word Safari at the top of the screen.)

  2. Click on Preferences.

  3. Choose AutoFill

  4. Next to “User Names and Passwords” click Edit.

  5. Click Remove All or find any information stored for iClassPro.com and remove it specifically.

  6. Click Done.
